Happy Easter! Classes and activities this weekend

Happy Easter Weekend! Here is a summary of the tango activities happening this weekend in the GTHA.

Toronto:  There is a class and milonga on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 8pm.  The Palermo Tango Club is held every Saturday night at the Joy of Dance Studio, 3rd floor, 95 Danforth Ave (at Broadview). There are refreshments, traditional tango music and friendly dancers.

Guelph:  Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. No activities that day. Save the date for the next Just Dancing event on April 30, 2017 from 6 to 9pm.

Hamilton: There is a class on Monday, April 17 at 7pm.

New tango sessions start next week:

Oakville: new Level 1 and Level 2 sessions start April 21, 2017 at 7pm and 8:15pm. Pre-register now!

There is a class and milonga on Saturday, March 26 at 8pm.  The Palermo Tango Club is held every Saturday night at the Joy of Dance Studio, 3rd floor, 95 Danforth Ave (at Broadview). The cost is $18 for the class and milonga. There are free refreshments, traditional tango music and friendly dancers.

Easter Sunday in Guelph: No activities that day. Save the date for the next Just Dancing event on April 24, 2016 from 6 to 9pm.

Hamilton: no class on Monday, March 28.

Hamilton beginners: Wednesday, March 30 at 7pm

Hamilton intermediates: Monday, April 4 at 7pm

Toronto (Swansea Town Hall): Thursday, April 7 at 8:15pm

Guelph: Sundays 7 to 9pm; starting Sunday, March 6th (Ballroom Class Studio, 26 Eramosa Road)

Toronto: Thursdays at 8:15pm, starting March 11th (Swansea Town Hall, 95 Lavinia Ave.)

Hamilton: Mondays at 7pm, starting March 28th (The Ballroom on Wellington, 15 Wellington St. N.)

Hamilton: Wednesdays at 7pm, starting March 30th.

Oakville: Fridays at 7pm (Level 1) and at 8:15pm (Level 2), starting April 15.

All of our tango classes are fun and very social. They offer mental and physical exercise — low impact with high value return!.  We offer personalized instruction and give you the attention and feedback to help you grow and improve.

Learn Tango in Hamilton, Oakville, Guelph and Toronto

NEW CLASS and NEW LOCATION: OAKVILLE

A totally new class and location in Oakville, at Fitbox Studio. Its super convenient location is at Kerr St and  the QEW (33 Shepherd Road, Oakville ON L6K 2G6). Join us for a 6 week session beginning on Friday, Nov. 13, from 7:45 to 9:15pm. Designed to allow lots of time for learning and practicing, this class is perfect for beginning dancers and those who have been away for awhile. You must register for this class at http://www.fitboxstudio.ca  Sign up now and guarantee your spot!

Hamilton: new beginner session starting Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 7 to 8:15pm (15 Wellington St. N near King St. E in downtown Hamilton; free parking on-site). Intermediate classes are on Mondays from 7 to 8:15pm (6 class packages and drop-in available)

Toronto: New open level session starting on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 8:15pm (at the Swansea Town Hall, 95 Lavina Av.).  All levels are welcome; this class has both a classic and contemporary approach to Argentina tango.

Toronto: We are back at Club Milonga for the month of November. (http://www.clubmilonga.com/schedule.html)

Guelph: New session starts Sunday, Nov. 15 from 7 to 9pm. This class is known for its in-depth approach to two rhythms each evening.Tango: check!  Milonga: check! Vals: check. (26 Eramosa Road, Guelph, ON)

There will be no tango class or milonga this Sat. June 13 at Palermo Tango Club.

We return to our regular schedule on Sat. June 20:

8 pm We put on the music for practice and warm up.

8:15 pm Drop-in class starts: all levels welcome.

9:30 pm Milonga begins: friendly people, air-conditioning and free refreshments.

Fresh Blools and Fresh Tango News Sunday Classes Now In Guelph

Fresh Blooms and Fresh Tango News:
Sunday Classes start May 24th in Guelph and continue throughout the summer. 

Sunday classes will take place in Guelph at the beautiful Ballroom Class Studio (26 Eramosa Road).

Here are all the details:

When: classes start this Sunday, May 24th, 2015 from 7 to 9pm and will run throughout the summer too!  A new 6 week session begins May 31st.

Where: 26 Eramosa Road, Guelph, ON N1E 2L3 (Ballroom Class Studio)

What: 2 hours of learning and practicing both classic and contemporary Argentine Tango in different rhythms: tango (4/4), milonga (2/4) and tango vals (3/4).

Who: Miguel and Michelle Coppini, passionate and professional full-time Argentine Tango teachers will be your inspiring guides.

You:  this class is open to all and we welcome dancers of all levels of experience.  Beginners are quickly trained to dance the basic figures and build a strong foundation.  We help more experienced dancers to become better leaders and followers, develop better technique and improvisational and floor craft skills.

Cost: 6 week class packs: $125 per person; drop-ins: $25 p.p. per evening.

New tango sessions start this week

Spring is such a rejuvenating season.  It feels like a great time to change up routines and make fresh starts.

We would like to invite you to put a little more tango in your life by joining new sessions of tango classes that start this week.

New tango sessions start soon in Hamilton, Toronto and Waterloo.  Here are the details:

The unique and exciting 3 tempos classes in Waterloo will begin this Sunday, April 12, 2015. Do not miss this 6 week session of classic, dynamic and rhythmic foundations and combinations in tango, milonga and vals. These 2 hour classes are filled with clear instruction on how to really lead and follow simple and complex figures, combinations and elements. The classes take place at Impact Dance Studio (182 Weber St. N, near University Ave).

New beginner/advanced beginner Hamilton classes commence this week, starting Wednesday, April 15 at 7pm.  Classes are 75 minutes long and are held at the Ballroom on Wellington (2nd floor, 15 Wellington St. North; free parking on site). Intermediate classes are on-going and available in both drop-in and session formats on Mondays from 7 to 8:15pm at the same location.

Join our Classic and Creative Class on Thursdays at 8:15pm at the Swansea Town Hall (95 Lavinia Ave near Bloor St. West and Windermere Rd.). This is really a fun class where we explore interesting learning/teaching techniques and figures while always reinforcing tango fundamentals.

Argentine tango classes in Toronto on Saturday nights provide a safe and welcoming place for tango dancers of all levels. No experience or registration is required. Come out every Saturday to the Palermo Tango Club (Joy of Dance Studio, 3rd floor, 95 Danforth Ave, across from the Broadview Subway Station).  The music comes on at 8pm  and the drop-in group class begins at 8:15pm.  This class is open to all levels; newcomers are welcome! Stay for the milonga, friendly atmosphere and free refreshments.
