This is what is going on tango-wise this long weekend:

Friday May 19: Oakville — no tango class on May 19.  A new 4 week session starts May 26 (7pm and 8:15pm) (Fitbox Studio: 33 Shepherd Rd). Leaders: there are lovely followers in both levels.

Saturday May 20: Toronto — join friendly folks for a class at 8:15pm and milonga (9:15pm)  (3rd floor, 95 Danforth Ave (Joy of Dance Studio).  All are welcome!

Sunday May 21: Guelph — a fun-filled class from 7 to 9pm (26 Eramosa Rd). Come check it out!

Monday May 22: Hamilton —  open class at 7pm — all levels welcome! Leaders take note — there are awesome followers in this class. (15 Wellington St. N, 2nd floor. Look for Red Rockets awning).

Get started with Argentine Tango beginner classes on May 11, 2016

New Argentine tango classes at the beginner/advanced beginner level begin on Wednesday, May 11 from 7 to 8:15pm in Hamilton.

These classes will introduce you to the fundamentals of tango and build on them quickly. No previous experience or partner is required.

Guelph: Sundays 7 to 9pm; starting Sunday, March 6th (Ballroom Class Studio, 26 Eramosa Road)

Toronto: Thursdays at 8:15pm, starting March 11th (Swansea Town Hall, 95 Lavinia Ave.)

Hamilton: Mondays at 7pm, starting March 28th (The Ballroom on Wellington, 15 Wellington St. N.)

Hamilton: Wednesdays at 7pm, starting March 30th.

Oakville: Fridays at 7pm (Level 1) and at 8:15pm (Level 2), starting April 15.

All of our tango classes are fun and very social. They offer mental and physical exercise — low impact with high value return!.  We offer personalized instruction and give you the attention and feedback to help you grow and improve.

Learn Tango in Hamilton, Oakville, Guelph and Toronto

NEW CLASS and NEW LOCATION: OAKVILLE

A totally new class and location in Oakville, at Fitbox Studio. Its super convenient location is at Kerr St and  the QEW (33 Shepherd Road, Oakville ON L6K 2G6). Join us for a 6 week session beginning on Friday, Nov. 13, from 7:45 to 9:15pm. Designed to allow lots of time for learning and practicing, this class is perfect for beginning dancers and those who have been away for awhile. Hamilton: new beginner session starting Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 7 to 8:15pm (15 Wellington St. N near King St. E in downtown Hamilton; free parking on-site). Intermediate classes are on Mondays from 7 to 8:15pm (6 class packages and drop-in available)

Toronto: New open level session starting on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 8:15pm (at the Swansea Town Hall, 95 Lavina Av.).  All levels are welcome; this class has both a classic and contemporary approach to Argentina tango.

Toronto: We are back at Club Milonga for the month of November. (http://www.clubmilonga.com/schedule.html)

Guelph: New session starts Sunday, Nov. 15 from 7 to 9pm. This class is known for its in-depth approach to two rhythms each evening.Tango: check!  Milonga: check! Vals: check. (26 Eramosa Road, Guelph, ON)

New this fall: Tuesdays in Toronto at Club Milonga

These last few days brought us a bracing reality check — summer is over and fall has arrived.  How are you handling it (in addition to turning on the heat)?  Here is another possible solution: Tango on Tuesdays in Toronto!!! (Say that fast seven times!)

Handle the fall cold snap with warm and friendly classes at Club Milonga Tuesday nights in Toronto

We are delighted to be teaching at Club Milonga on Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 9pm, starting October 7th. This weekly class begins with 30 minutes geared for beginners, followed by another 60 minutes suitable for the intermediate dancer.  After the class, you can practice what you have learned at the milonga (social dance) until 10:30pm.  The cost for the class and milonga is $12.

Join us at Toronto’s longest running, not-for-profit tango organization, located at the Danforth Baptist Church (60 Bowden Street, near the corner of Danforth Ave; the closest subway station is about 1 block east of the Church at Chester Station.)  More details including a map and class prices may be found here.

Saturday in Toronto:  Join us at 8:15pm for a drop-in class at the Joy of Dance Studio (3rd floor, 95 Danforth Ave at Broadview) followed by Palermo Tango Club’s friendly milonga.  Cost is $18 per person for both the class and milonga.  Free refreshments are served after the class.  This class is suitable for both first-timers/beginners and more advanced dancers. Sunday in WaterlooThere is no class this weekend.  A new 6 week session starts Sunday, Sept. 7.  Work on your tango skills at 7pm and feel the energy of milonga at 8pm.  All levels are welcome.  Find all the details here.

Monday in Hamilton:  Feel like tango-ing on Labour Day?  There is a 75 minute class at 7pm at the Ballroom on Wellington.  The drop-in fee is $18 p.p. Check out the info and directions here.
